What do you enjoy most about running your own business?
Working with artists, hearing their stories & watching them thrive plus the freedom to structure each day according to my inclinations and in response to what’s needed.
What was your biggest digital marketing challenge prior to joining the Academy?
Promoting myself in any way is a huge challenge for me- but being a solo business owner plus an artist on the side – it was obviously necessary. I did many courses and had a clear idea of What but not How until I joined CECA.
What digital marketing challenges does being a member of the Academy solve?
Loren’s approach is dynamic, practical and affirming. It meets me exactly where I am at and solves the problems of isolation, not being sure which step to take next plus all the technical blocks that pop up. The consistent support of the community plus Loren’s hands-on patient approach and teaching mean that I have now a sense of clear direction and a library of resources to draw on at any time. Gold!
What’s your greatest digital marketing win since joining the Academy?
The brand new website that I built myself following along with the CECA tutorial on the subject is my biggest win. It has excited many comments and I can share it with confidence and pride. Never had such a great one! Another win was bringing together five + years of feedback into one place to make it accessible as testimonials. I achieved this through Loren’s Success Sprint – in one morning I was able to collate 330 comments, delete 45 other documents and 5 folders – and have this resource readily findable and useable. Brilliant.
What would you say to someone who is considering joining the Academy?
This is the best investment I have ever made in myself and my business and has taken the pressure and the second guessing away from the digital marketing aspect of working alone. Incredible value. Join.
